The purpose for which this Association is formed are for the educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of sections 501©(3) of the internal revenue code of 1954 and in this connection, to operate a sports program for boys and girls; to provide for social interaction and for teamwork skills, to teach value of team play; to provide facilities for boys and girls to play baseball and softball; to instill in boys and girls a desire to do things for themselves and others; to teach them courage, self-reliance, develop self-confidence and an appreciation for their own worth as individuals; grow as responsible members of their families and as citizens of their community; appreciate the gift of health of mind and body and strive for physical fitness and mental well-being; recognize the worth of all persons, and work for interracial and intergroup understanding.
